Lovely linen:
good for you, better for the planet

Peel off those winter layers –it’s time to get your linen on. And where better place to start than with the huge range of linen spring essentials now available at SABA.

Why linen?

Linen may often cost more than cotton, but it has some serious environmental credentials and benefits that puts its price tag into perspective. Here are just a few:

  • Made from flax, linen is highly durable and long-lasting
  • It’s naturally moth resistant and absorbs moisture without harbouring bacteria
  • It is biodegradable (especially when made with non-toxic dyes)
  • Flax is a plant that uses far less water and fertiliser than cotton, and the entire plant is utilised so there’s no waste

Wearing the look: women’s range
The cute and comfy all-day Lila dresses are available in a wide range of soft and classic colours, and give you maximum style with minimum fuss. If you love a dress with plenty of room to move and handy pockets, these clever little pieces are just what you’re looking for. The range comes in a tiered, sleeveless look, or a more classic ‘shirt’ dress style with collar and long sleeves. Every dress in the range works as well with heels as it does with sandals or trainers.

For something a bit more formal, the elegant maxi skirts and wrap dresses make going from work to evenings out a breeze. They still have great pockets, and both styles provide a choice of two colours. The maxi skirts can be paired with matching linen sleeveless tops, or dressed down with your favourite t-shirt.

Wearing the look: men’s range
Linen options for men at SABA are also in abundance this year, with all the wardrobe staples covered. For casual looks, you’ll find the Luca linen short with deep comfortable pockets in three beautifully muted colours, dusky pink, oatmeal and graphite. For a less structured look, the Kent short comes with a drawstring waist and is available in four soft spring colours that are perfect for lazy weekend days in the sunshine. And they are currently on sale at less than half price!

Continue the casual linen look with long pants and collared shirts in your choice of three cooling colours – artic white, blue and lilac

And, for those more special occasions, you can’t go past the 100 per cent linen suits in beige, or a mixed cotton-linen blend in blue or oatmeal. Perfect for warm days and nights, these suits are a fantastic high quality option without the sky-high price tag.
